I recently moved to Florida and my doctor up north said my cataract was not mature yet.  How long does usually take and when should I see a doctor again?

It can take months to decades to “mature”.  Typically, you should be seen yearly to follow it.  It cannot hurt to get a baseline exam this year. We would also screen you for glaucoma, macular degeneration, etc.
