Farsightedness or hyperopia means objects are seen clearly far away but are blurry close up.
You may be farsighted if you you:
- Have difficulty concentrating and maintaining a clear focus on near objects
- Suffer from eye strain, headaches, burning aching eyes
- Have poor reading ability
- Need to hold reading material away from your eyes.
Farsighted patients may need visual correction just for reading, or all the time depending upon the degree of their condition. A thorough vision examination will determine which treatment is best for you.
