Project Description

Entropion can be addressed with a number of simple treatment options. Artificial tears or ointments that lubricate the eye can provide temporary relief for the discomfort caused by Entropion. Similarly, a contact lens can be used like a bandage to temporarily relieve the pain. A more long-term treatment option is to have a procedure performed by an eye surgeon, to restore the eyelid to its normal position. This procedure frees the eyelashes from rubbing against the eye, and restores the eyelid’s normal, healthy appearance. Soon afterward, the discomfort of Entropion should subside, and the need for artificial tears and lubricating ointments is virtually eliminated.
